
The Italian government has decided to abandon the use of quarantine ships adopted during the pandemic to isolate migrants at sea after their arrival in Italy, Infomigrants reported in an article appeared on the 1st of June.
Since the beginning of the use of quarantine ships, ASGI stated that migrants who arrived in Italy irreguarly spent a mandatory quarantine on them in the open sea. These methods were “discriminatory” and highly questionable from a health point of view. Here our interview.
