There are about 500 thousand people who live in Italy, next to us, but who risk not accessing the anti-covid vaccination. They are the homeless, Italians and foreigners welcomed in collective structures, without documents or residence permits, EU citizens in a condition of irregularity, stateless persons, a part of the Roma and Sinti population. A complex and varied world of “invisible” people from an administrative point of view who in fact do not have a family doctor and still have difficulties in accessing the National Health Service. To pose the problem – in early February in a letter to the Ministry of Health and now to the new government – the associations that adhere to the Immigration and Health Board (Tis). A dozen national acronyms, including Caritas, Emergency, Doctors without borders, the Association of Legal Studies for Immigration (Asgi), the Italian Society of Migration Medicine (Simm) that ask for active involvement on these issues.
